Born into a household of loving rebels, I inherited a stubborn streak from my parents who, under no circumstances, wanted to be told what to do. As such, they became lifelong entrepreneurs and I followed suite.
Dad left California in his late teens in pursuit of adventure, spending his early years travelling the Middle East and India in a magic mystery bus (iykyk) before discovering a love for running water that would bring him to the Rocky Mountains.
My Aussie mum is the embodiment of the black sheep, who, despite her family's best efforts at convincing her otherwise, departed Australia via cargo ship to travel the world and eventually land on USA shores. Magically creative, boundlessly loving and terribly funny, mum has a wicked sense of humour and would affectionately call me and my little sister her "little fuckers".
As such, my sister's first word was 'fuck'.
My childhood was spent skiing in the winter and rafting in the summer at my old man's rafting company. Anytime I wasn't on the river, I was at my mum's bead shop 'Boomerang Beads - Traders of the Exotic'.
I grew up in my parent's businesses. Between time at mum's shop, on the river with customers or answering dad's phone lines to answer queries or make bookings, I talked a lot, with many different people, from all walks of life. This might have something to do with my capacity for expression.
Growing up in Montana, our town of 2,000 people had roughly 9 bars and 12 churches. Growing up in the western wilds, riding dirtbikes and navigating rivers, my parents fostered a deep sense of curiosity, instilling a 'f*ck around and find out' mentality that has yet to wane.
I am a Registered Nurse by trade and a compassionate entrepreneur at heart. Both of my parents owned their businesses and agency over one's time and attention is embedded in my value system.
I left conventional nursing in 2019 to become one of Australia's first 'Cannabis Nurse Educators', a role that, at the time, didn't exist in collective discourse.
My time in the cannabis industry has been oriented to creating better health systems. I've been the founding member of multiple successful cannabis startups, built innovative medical practices that generate excellent patient outcomes and I've worked with thousands of patients in 1:1 settings. The scope of my clinical work includes complex and chronic medical and psychiatric health conditions, utilising cannabis as a functional catalyst for health change.
During this time, my voice has reached tens of millions of people around the world.
I can't be contained, but I can be channelled. My purpose is tied to empowering the 'black sheep', change-makers and visionaries of our time to rise up, awaken their potential and bring their vibes into the collective tribe.
This is the resonant tide, and I am honoured to be one of many guides in this time. Let me life be a landscape of devotion.
I've been a founder of several cannabis start-ups. I serve as a personal advisor to thought leaders and change makers. I run an online community, host the TMBH podcast, teach yoga and meditation and I am no stranger to the cyclical nature of ambition and burnout. I'm getting better at the burnout though.
I've lived much of my life through the lens of a camera and in recent years I began showing up on the other side of the lens, which is probably how you've arrived here.
And so it is.

In the words of Ram Daas, we're all just walking each other home. It's a joy to walk with you.

Thanks for stopping by.
Big love,
